Let's gooo, the plane tickets are booked for your first family trip with baby!!
To begin this new adventure with peace of mind, you need to put yourself in the best possible conditions, and this includes organizing your baby's changing bag during the flight. Here's a checklist of essentials to take in your baby's cabin baggage:
Diapers and wipes Wipes are ideal for both cleaning and refreshing your baby, especially on long-haul flights. Don't forget to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before cleaning your baby!
Changing mat Practical for changing baby and avoiding placing him directly on the plastic of the changing table in the airplane toilets... not very hygienic!
First aid kit A small first aid kit: saline solution, painkiller, teething cream, restorative cream, etc.
A comfortable change At least one complete change of warm and comfortable clothing: bodysuit, jogging pants, t-shirt, sweater and socks. It's important to pack warm clothes because the air conditioning is often strong during the flight. Also, plan for several layers of clothing so you can take off and put on as you go and more easily adapt your baby to the temperature of the plane.
Taking baby food on the plane Baby's favorite food. One of the big advantages of flying is that baby food and drinks are allowed. So take advantage of it and get the full package: milk, applesauce, pureed food... On some airlines, you can even book a meal for your little one! But, a little tip? Plan ahead, though.
Pacifiers and comforters: the must-have Extra pacifiers... Pacifiers get lost very easily, especially on the plane, between seats, blankets, and cushions... so it's best to have 1 or 2 as a backup. It's the same for comforters, so pack your child's comforter #2 in your suitcase, just in case!
